John F. Crotty is a writer and history enthusiast with a rich background in the maritime industry. After a 45-year career, he now focuses on writing, having authored two independent books, including "Hey, I’m Alive," featured in the Library of Congress collection, and now, "The Ground Between Us."

Living in Ringwood, New Jersey, with his wife Dawn and their beloved dogs, Ailish and Sissy (Bear), John enjoys spending time with his nearby children, Ryan and Meghan, and her husband, Luis. An outdoor lover, he enjoys skiing, swimming and hiking with his dogs.

Currently, he is working on his next book, titled "Chrysalis."
